SUSAN HILLER

"An American who has lived in London since 1973, Susan Hiller has been a hugely-influential figure for a younger generation of British artists. She uses ephemeral, everyday objects, telling their stories and extracting new meanings from them, producing art which is both visually stimulating and emotionally compelling." (Tate Gallery, 1996) Susan Hiller’s piece “From the Freud Museum”, 1991-1997 is installed in the Tate Modern and will be rehung from May 2006 in the new Level 3 East and West wing display titled “Poetry and Dream”.

Susan Hiller is a dual national of Great Britain and the United States.
She lives and works in London and Berlin.
